Radar Level Transmitter (76-81GHz)
The 2-wire Radar Level Transmitter uses Frequency Modulated Continous Wave (FMCW), which offers a high degree of accuracy and sensitivity for liquid level measurement. This technology works by sending a continuous wave which is then reflected from the liquid surface and received by the same antenna.
The time between transmission and reception is directly proportional to the distance between liquid surface and reference point on antenna.
The time lapse is difficult to measure accurately because the electromagnetic waves travel at such high speeds. Radar level transmitters address this problem by using a demodulation technique that accurately detects the time delay between pulse emission (pulse emission) and reception. This allows for highly accurate and precise level measurements.
